Laura Rubin, founder of AllSwell, believes everyone has a unique creative voice regardless of whether or not you happen to be an artist -- and cultivating that voice via a longhand journaling practice has proven mental, emotional and physiological benefits. During this session we’ll take cues from the works of poets and writers as they celebrate the Fall season and dive into accessible, writing-based activities to tap into our divine, creative flow.
You don’t need to have any background in writing or literature whatsoever (or even keep a journal) to enjoy this experience. The mere act of putting pen to paper is illuminating and therapeutic. There’s no wrong way to do this.
Shaman and Vibrational Designer Sarah Rigano of FORM + LIGHT will curate the space with elements of the natural world to support and inspire. The session will include a guided seasonal meditation, where participants will receive a Red Jasper stone - grounding into the wisdom of the Fall to create a personal intention for the season.
We’ll sip Mezcal-based & elixir-infused cocktails by Gem&Bolt to fuel our creative endeavors. Blank AllSwell notebooks, custom packets of literature and writing utensils provided. All you need to bring is you, and maybe a friend.

Having spent fifteen plus years successfully helping brands find (and use) their creative voices as the head of communications boutique Left Left Right she recognized the power that process could provide when applied to the individual. Coupled with the fulfillment of a life-long journaling practice, she began AllSwell as a means of inspiring others to access these tools for themselves, whether they’re applied in their private or professional lives.
In 2000 Rubin established Left Left Right Consulting, working with some of today’s leading brands in wellness, action sports, design and philanthropy. Rubin brings her trademark market-relevant insights to conceive and execute innovative, tailored campaigns to create compelling stories for clients including Waves for Water, OutsideTV, SALT., Surfrider Foundation and Spy Optics, among many others.
Laura gets her editorial fix as the Editor-at-Large of Whalebone Magazine and gives back as Chairman of the Board of Los Angeles-based nonprofit surf therapy organization A Walk On Water and as a board member of clean water charity LIMPIA. The New York / Montauk transplant is now based in Venice, California.
